Join Molly Kampmann on a virtual tour of her urban permaculture projects, all within a 20 minute cycle of Angel in the City of London, at this month's LAND and Member Projects Online Call on Wednesday 28th July, starting at 3pm.
Alara’s Permaculture Garden is situated in King’s Cross and is a project that started in 2005, transforming a derelict piece of land into a beautiful garden. The idea spread further resulting in a vineyard, an orchard, a community garden, that now produces unique and biodiverse fruit and vegetables. The permaculture garden is home to over 80 different food crops including, among others, silverberry, pomegranate, Japanese wineberry, apricot, apple, pear, plum and edible hawthorn and largest yacon plantation in Europe, a veritable haven of grapevines, fruit trees and biodiverse fruit and vegetables in the heart of King’s Cross.
Molly will also share her experience designing and implementing for a variety of London Permaculture projects, including her rooftop garden, local community garden, city centre guerilla gardens and a city farm.
This is sure to be an excellent session for anyone interested in urban design or setting up an urban permaculture project.
