Compost Loo Build

Summary information

Compost Loo Build at Parc y Dderwen, west Wales

On Sunday 26th May Lauren & Phil will be hosting ‘Perma Blitz: Compost Loo’ — a hands-on build day on a starter permaculture farm creating their very first structure: a toilet!

Demonstrating one of the key principles of permaculture 'produce no waste' this hands-on day will focus on practical skills as well as the theory behind compost loos for anyone and all.

Lauren and Phil have been working with a local carpenter to design a simple but beautiful compost loo and the aim is to build it together - in a day!

09:45 — gather... teas... welcomes
10:00 — explain compost loo concept & design; meet the materials, tool up and assign jobs!
10:40 — build!
12:30 — lunch & networking (and for those interested, a short walk into the future…)
13:30 — group building continues
16:30 — team photo with finished compost loo and high fives!

Please note that Parc y Dderwen is made of up fields. Not much else (yet!).

So please bring:

// water
// your own cutlery and crockery
// food for a bring and share lunch
// warm/waterproof clothes and whatever else you need for a day on the land
// work boots / shoes
// work gloves

Please RSVP to Lauren and Phil at [email protected] and direction can be sent to those attending.

Thanks very much!
